Most of what we make starts in a small room above a coffee shop in District 3. This is what a normal week there actually looks like.
Monday is fabric. Rolls arrive from the mill and get cut into swatches, washed five times, then pinned to a board and left for a fortnight to see how they age. Anything that pills or twists is out.
Fit before graphics
We do not draw a single graphic until the fit is signed off. A tee goes through four or five toiles, each worn for a week by someone on the team, before the pattern is locked. The print comes last, and only if the garment already works plain.
The result is slower than the industry standard and we are fine with that. It is why the Classic Crew Tee has not changed its pattern in three years.
